Agricultural climate solution living lab

The agricultural climate solution living lab (ACS-LL) project has established several living lab sites in Newfoundland and Labrador to monitor and understand how different agricultural management practices contribute to -

(i) enhanced soil organic carbon sequestration

(ii) reduced greenhouse gas emissions

The living lab sites are located in eastern and western Newfoundland and Happy Valley - Goose Bay in Labrador. We are specifically interested in studying the impacts of cover cropping, nutrient management, composting, and biochar application for agricultural climate solutions using field observations, geospatial mapping, and modeling. Our living lab sites grow a range of crops, including grains, vegetables, and berries.
